Guangdong IP Administration Launches IPR Safeguarding Services for the 30th Guangzhou International Beauty and Cosmetic Import and Export Expo

The 30th Guangzhou International Beauty and Cosmetic Import and Export Expo is recently held in Guangzhou China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex. A complaint center of IP and economic disputes is established to provide IP consultation services to exhibitors and the social public. 

Personnel from Guangdong Provincial IP Administration stationed in the Expo are responsible for accepting reports on patent imitations and counterfeits, handling complaints on patent infringement and inspecting whether exhibitors have imitative and counterfeit patents. During the exhibition, they totally receive three cases of patent infringement complaints, involving three exhibitors suspected of right infringement. 

Meanwhile, personnel from Guangdong Provincial IP Administration also actively inspect more than 50 types of products with patent marks, rectifying the phenomenon of substandard patent marks. 

A total of 2,000 exhibitors and brands from 18 countries and regions such as Australia, South Korea and Singapore attend the Expo with products covering perfumes, cosmetics, body care products, chemical products for daily use, clean products, nail art products and Chinese traditional medicines for health preserving. The Expo also has a design and discussion area to design seminars for manufacturers and package-producing enterprises with themes of brand management and brand design according to their demands.
